Events of the day

Went grocery shopping this morning. Spent way too much. Food should be free. Passed out door hangers for church for awhile. Prayer meeting then worship service in a little while. I'm super excited about a phone call with outfaith tomorrow where I'll be officially setup to run their website. I am excited and completely on board with their vision

Thanksgiving

Had a wonderful weekend with the wife. I took off fri and we went to see breaking dawn it was awesome. Afterwards I took some time to launch the new website www.theupperroomsaintlouis.com. Church Sunday at 7pm

Early thanksgiving

Getting up this morning to have thanksgiving at my father in laws house. Then church this afternoon at www.theupperroomsaintlouis.com. I'm off work thanksgiving and the Friday after. Praise God for a 4 day weekend

Count it all joy

Learning that if so many people are against what I do it must be God. Meanwhile Carla and I have accepted positions at our new church home. Who knew going to church would upset so many people. I've been reminding myself today of the fruit of the spirit love patience kindness. Funny how so many don't show that

I was laying in bed last night and this Word sat in my spirit.

⁴ Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! ⁵ This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath^[a] enter you, and you will come to life. ⁶ I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

What's missing from our church's

I think what's missing from our church's is the sense of community and family that we use to have when we were younger.  The only problem is I'm unsure how to get it back.  On a positive note my wife is going to start ministry training next month. PTL!!!

Cars

Praise God.  I went to get the tasx records so I can pay taxes to register my car.  And as always they came up with old cars and wanted me to pay for them too.  Not only that they came up with a whole new car that I never owned.  But the guy was very patient and determined to work things out and I was a praying sister.  So in the end things came out much better than I expected.  I am however keeping my current car forever now tha it has finally been laid to rest that I don't own any other cars.

9/11/01

On this day I was a Army reserve soldier, and a college student.  That morning class had already been cancelled.  I was asleep when I got the phone call from a upset family member. "Are you ok?  Are you going to war?" I'm like what are you talking about.  Back then I wasn't a morning person, so I just hung up.  Then I got several phone calls from people.  So I was forced to wake up and watch what the world was already watching.  I wasn't sure yet what was really going on.  Everyone in my life assumed I knew something they didn't cause I was in the army.  So I tried to reach my unit to see what was being said.  But everytime I tried to dial the number my line was already ringing from people trying to figure out what I knew.  If there had been twitter back then I would have just tweeted I know nothing please give me a chance to find out.  Once I got EVERYONE off the phone I called the unit.  Of course their line was busy.  Finally I talked to a friend from the unit(who also couldn't get through).  We weren't sure what all this meant other than we were probably going to war soon and damn proud of it.

New beginings

Since the new year I have been trying to read 3 chapters of the Bible a day.  I started off pretty good for maybe the first month.  Then it went to every other day.  Now it's more like 3 chapters a week.  To my pitiful defense I do listen to sermons on the way to work and sometimes look up those verses when I get home.  I love listening to Pastor David Paul on the radio.  It seems like no matter what he has a sermon that fits my week.  Today I decided to start back to working out.  I have lost a couple of waist sized since the begining of the year.  Mainly because I've been going through some things and have been on more than a few fasts.  Sad to say I don't have many more answers than I started out with.  But anyway we will see how this excercising/3 chapters a day and blogging thing works.  I might be setting myself up for failure.  I need to go back to writing the chapters I've read on my calendar that helped in the begining.  Well I don't know what else to say other than I have to go to sleep soon if I'm going to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for 2 church services tomorrow.

Looking for a good book to read. Any suggestions?

Mom

Mom just called to check up on us and make sure everything she wants is prepared.  Baked chicken, ribs, spaghettie and potatoe salad.  Dad has stopped pacing but now my aunt is calling to check on my mom.

Good Morning, I just started a blog lol

Woke up early this morning because my mom is coming home from the hospital.  Of course this is an all day event.  I had to "pack her things up" from the hospital.  And it was alot of stuff.  And my lovely wife is cooking meals for my mom to have for the next couple of days.  (If I cooked my mom would be right back in the hospital) .  As usual my dad is pacing back and forth for no reason what so ever, lol.
