I became curious about the church of scientology since hearing about Tom and Katie's divorce. I admit I knew nothing about the religion and thought "What could be so bad about this church?" So I spent a couple of hours on their official website and found out a few facts.
The Cross: Although they are NOT a Christian organization they use the cross as a symbol. To them it represents the 8 dynamics of life. They say the cross as a symbol predates Chrsitianity.
God: Although they believe in God they are not specific on who God is. They believe in a Supreme Being.
Reincarnation: They believe in past lives but don't force their members to.
Salvation: They believe in salvation through works. But it's unclear to me wether or not they believe if one will eventually end up in heaven or hell.
Church: They refer to themselves as a church in the same way that some people call a mosque or synagogue
Holy book: They do not have a Holy book but rather books written by their founder.
I didn't write this blog to down Scientology but to show that the enemy always has his counterfeits at work. The Bible says even the elect of God will be deceived and fall away.
